Reviewing some of the topics..it seems that I should be start giving my 7 month old rice and dal. Can some one provide a recipe for this. Hetal replied. 7month old,rice and dal (khichadi)

1cup of moong dal: 2 rice.
if this seems heavy for your baby, add a cup more of rice and store that dry mixture in airtight container..use as needd for your baby.
put the cooker,add in ghee, do tadka of a lite dash of hing,curry leaves,a couple corainder leaves,add in dal and rice mixture,add in lil sprinkle of turmeric and a very lite dash namesake salt(if you are giving salt),,and then add double and a bit more water than the dal rice mixture.. whistle it upto 4-5-6whistles and you will prob not need to even use your mixie to make it a puree and with a egg beater or fork it can be a nice puree.

if still you need,do that :)

once your baby is good with this, introduce him rice and moong dal plus massoor dal.
