Hi frens,

I have 7 month & 2 week old baby. For the past 1 week he is having cold & myself i have cold & cough. Initially baby was having running nose & now he has stuffy nose that continues for 1 week. When i chkd with my ped she told me to continue with pediacare 3 times 7 she doesn't want to give any antibiotics. I am giving my baby pediacare for past 1 week & still he has cold & is not leaving my baby. Is that because of my cold the baby is still having cold? Please tell me something to get cure from cold for both mom & baby..My baby is sufferring a lot from this cold( something struggling to breathe:(.) He gets cold every 2 months..Please help frens..
He has got some red rash on his cheeks. Is this becoz of those medicines?

thanks,
diya.

if your baby is suffering badly, please ask your dr to give something else. there are alot of cold medicines or otc medicines that can definately replace pediacare..c if that works.. and have you taken ne medications ! right now its right season for flus, colds, coughs, sore throat,,and if you dont take any medicine, it will not go off easily..
so visit your dr and take some medicine for yourself,,,other wise the cycle will never end,,until everyone is recovered together..first get yourself medicine,,
and ask your dr for your baby, tht its not working and its gone worst & that he has develped rashes..1 week is alot of time to see the recovery just for cold..dont let him suffer that much...tell your dr that you are ok if he is able to prescribe some mild medicine that can atleast recover rather than going worst...
remember, your baby is right now 7 months only, so its good that your dr is not willing to giving ne anitbiotics, but at the same time, check on the time of recovery !! you dont want your babys' body to keep struggling and fighting against cold/cough,,when right now his body should be concentrating on growth and development... the longer his body and immunity, will struggle to get rid of cold or ne illness, his growth will relativly go slow if the illness continues for longerr than 20days... make sure you dont end up making that decision,,
dont try ne homeremedies, because this is sure sign of virals in your home..
rashes might be the cause of drug allergy due to medicine he is taking,,,,,watch for them,,make sure your dr sees it at your visit...
keep his nose clean by infant nasal spray and with suction remove the mucus..keep doing that everytime you feel your baby is stuffed...so that it clears his nasal passages.apply a lil baby vicks rub on his chest and on his back of chest,,and some on his feet.this will prevent him from being stuffed often.

good luck

hi.. take a glass of warm water. pour a fresh lemon juice+honey in it.. drink it at any time of the day.. Neither YOu nor your baby will ever get cold . 1 lemon for you and 1/4 lemon for ur baby. A lemon a day keeps cold away.
Good Luck
