Dear Hetal,
Thanks for your reply just few other doubts...
My son who has completed 7mnths last week is having very tight stools, to the extent it looks like small black grapes as i feed him ragi, i spoke to the doctor i told him in fruits he has banannas n apples everday but my dr said to reduce intake of apples as it may cause constipation, so dear hetal could u give me some tips on this... which other fruits can i add to as such he likes both apples n bananas...and one more thing what all boiled vegetables can i give is it ok to boil tamato, patato, carrot, cauliflower, greenpeas and smash them together any other veggies can i add?
One more thing Hetal, now that my son is 8mnths old...at home we consume buffalo milk (tabela) so can i start him that same milk dilute it in proportion (1:2/3) will he be able to digest at this stage at present he is on Lactogen2.
Thanks a lot Hetal!
I indeed feel so good writing to you my quieres and all of them are solved..
Thanks a Lot!!!! B Regards!

m sure ur kid will love chikoos or papaya... these r excellent for babies.. as far as veggies go pls dont give ur baby cauliflower or tomatoes or green peas so early... they cause a lot of constipation.... i would suggest u make soup of lauki, with little of red pumpkin, potato, carrot, a leaf of spinach.. do try

yes apples cause constipation. give apples with prunes or apricots.it will not cause constipation.add apricots rather than prunes..use prunes only when your baby is severly constipated !
use the dried apricots..boil it, throw them to blender, and seive it to fine smooth puree..add in any fruits.mostly those tasting sweet.
go to gerber dot com for detailed ideas on what next fruit to be introduced ! it will save my time :) and a good detail answer !
wait a month or couple for tomato. rest you can give all vegies..also avoid okra, brinjal, mushrooms.
also add in couple leaves of baby spinach,,its an excellent source of fiber and high in iron too ! and its mild food,,too good to give than even apricots.
babies often dont like drinking soups, so offer soups esp spinach soup with rice or just add in to mix vegie pulav. also add other vegies like lauki,zuchini,broccli...also add in to his diet other fruits like mango, honey dew, papaya, watermelon,,sweet orange with banana(to avoid reflux, 1 slice of mashed fibreless orange pulp with 2 parts of banana)...check on mango and papaya,,some babies have shown heat rashes..when you offer any acidic foods or hot natured foods, add in more of mild or cold foods to nullify the effect..hope you got my point..give mango with bannaa..taste great !
about milk mixing with water,i would not recommend it. if its buffalo milk, its going to be heavy, so go slow after 9months,,,with 1 oz a day and then slowly wean your baby. acutally anything other than formula or bm, the best time to wean baby is 9months onwards but preferably in US is 1 year...1 year most babies have not shown any probs in digesting outside milk...
your baby is 8months, wait couple months to start any other form of milk ! unless otherwise recommended by your dr.
Minka replied. Hi ,
I am sure Hetal will reposnd with all the answers but since I also saw the same problems as you with my now 1-year old son, I thought I will share it with you . I found that giving my son black grpaes or prune juice helps with constipation. Also increase water intake - you can probably try giving soups etc also. Also found that mango and a lil papaya relieves constipation.
