hi friends,
I have been looking at this site and now I need a help from all of u there.I'm 7 weeks pregnant and The doctor had a blood test done for hcg ,my hcg count didn't double in 48 hrs, so she went in for an ultrasound and she could see a embryo sac, but told its too early to see the embryo or the foetus could be dead, again she did the third hcg count yesterday and said it has doubled now, so I ahve to go in for a hcg count tommorrow again to see if it doubles again, further she has asked me to come in for an ultrasound after one week to check for the heartbeat of the foetus. Please could any of you tell me what is going on with me, I can't sleep or eat and I'm very tensed, I don't know how I will go on till my ultrasound next week.

Hi shobha...
when I went for a repeat HCG, the count was lesser than before, and even the sac wasnt seen, and so the doc concluded two things, either its an actopic pregnancy(forming outside uterus..which can be fatal for me..) OR that the pregnancy is not growing, and in that case, I should get my periods in a week...believe me I took the entire 10 days off...and sulked in some depression, still assured, that I should have a healthy baby at the time which is right for me and my body...
GUESS WHAT..the baby was just playing hide-n-seek...Im 4 months pregnant now, watching a nice growth of the fetus.
The moral of the story was...that I may have concieved may on the last few days of my cycle....and was a late conception..that showed up late...
Best of luckto you...and keep believing...

Hi,

First of all congratulations on your pregnancy.

I must assure that your Dr. is doing very good justice to your case and monitoring you close.

As said by Parul you definitely need to have positive attitude and not to tense over this. This trimester is very very critical and you really need to be strong emotionally and physically. Hope this suffice to say.

It's true that by week 7 you should see fetus (from 0.4 cm to 1.2 cm size) and hear heart beat. You can't discount however the fact that you had troubles getting hCG doubled each 36 hours. Now seems your body is working as it should (your hCG are doubling). As long as your hCG responds very well do not worry for fetus, it's just fine in your womb.

Relax and enjoy your coming 8 months of pregnancy.

Archie

Hi There
hey see don't worry, bcos to be calm and happy is the utmost thing you require for having healthy baby. in my case , see usually there is heartbeat of baby in 7 weeks. so you don't worry as your hcg is double, your ultrasound report may not be appropriate, as doctor told me sometimes it happen that if your bladder is not full then ultrasound might not give you a clear picture, so dont worry and be happy

RE:adoption in a family
hey ananya this is really a very sensitive case and you should think about it before hand as in what the child would think in future as he or she grows up. Or else you will have to do counselling of the child at the right time.... - ridhi [View Message]

Hi Rupal,
So don't you have any other option because it would be very hard for you to abort the child know.So better ask for any other source if not then you decide what to do.... - Amani [View Message]
