hello!
I m the mother of a 22 months old baby girl...from 3rd month she has started sucking her thumb,which is continued tillnow...Its not that she sucks her thumb always but she mostly does when she is sleepy...I have tried all possible things to stop her,but failed....i even started puttind red chilli powder,ya it stopped her,but while she is sleepy she gets so much iritated by that ,that she puts her thumb on which i applied red chiili powder...i think it could be dangerous for her....my doctor asked me to buy FEMITE cream,and apply it but this cream i am not able to find anywhere in delhi...what shud i do???very depressed.. they wont go to university with this habit, it will go away some day. so stop worrying. and take care

I am also a mother of 2 kids my son (3yrs) & my daughter (19 months). Both have got the habbit of finger sucking. Cannot do much to control them. I had tried everything for my son but nothing worked out.

I would suggest you just leave her as it is. Do not try to stop her the more you stop her the more she they do it.
