Thanks for responding , am trying to do what you suggested. But yes it becomes difficult since he dosn't have a routine.

I feed him on one B for approx 10 min.
ALso the duration of feeds varies, sometimes its 2 1/2 hrs, sometimes its just 40 min to an hr.
I actually want to do two things since he is now 4 1/2 months old, one make his routine so that he sleeps more at night time and also start on semi solids, can you guide me how to go about it.
Most of my friens started semi solid after 4 months but my doc is advising againest it.
Pls advice.
regds.

Hi ,

yes ,some docs ask to wait till 6 mos . But most people start at 4 months - I started Ragi when my son was 3.5 months since i had to go back to work.anyway , make sure you start with some gentle cereal like rice etc and be prepared for lots of throwing up first few times - trust me you will think brestfeeding is much easier as there's no cooking and cleaning to be done !!!

2.5 hours seems to be a reasonable duration for BM. Try to make sure he feeds for about 10 mins on one and then about 5 mins on the other too . Make sure you burp him in between the feed - he may not be drinking enough since he has a burp stuck.
