Hello friends


My daughter is only two month old & i want to know that when u all give first time water to ur child? i am confused some one say do not give and some say here is summer so u have to give so pls advice me as early as possible, i highly appreciated

u can start giving her water now.my baby never used to drink plain water.and as i had to give her outside milk,water is a must.so i added ,some ingredients to the water before boiling.those things prevent any stomach upsets also.In marathi they are called \";balshep\"; and \";vavading\";.add a pinch of balshep and 2 vavading to the water before boling.then boil the water for some time.my baby likes itbut it would be better if u discuss with ur doc before doing anything.

start giving water when the baby is ready for solids say 4 months of age. my daughter used to have hiccups all the time and they would last for good 15-20 min. but my doctor said that mother's milk itself is so watery so there is no need for the baby to drink water separatly ! so my advise would be give water when the baby is 4 months of age. and besides babies at such age have small tummies so if u give water, that will not leave no room for your milk, she won't need water as such ! all the best ! bona&me replied. dear hetal,
having read your query i would like to suggest you:
of course you can feed your 2 mth old baby water.give it to herin small quantities in tsp when you relize she must be thirsty. i have also come across people who advise not to give water, even some doctors also advise the same.anyway few sips will not harm the baby. even though you are feeding, few sips of water won`t do any harm.
