What are the things your parents did that you will never do to your kids or future kids? Arushi replied. I will never tell my children that they aren?t to talk unless there?s a gap in the conversation. I will tell them that so long as they aren?t interrupting someone mid-sentence, then it is okay to speak. I will never tell my children that they can?t be upset about things just because others have it worse. I will teach them that their feelings are valid and I will try my very best to help them feel better. I will never tell my children ?if you don?t stop crying, I?ll give you something to cry about.? Instead, I will teach them that it is okay to cry. I will never tell them not to answer back unless they are being rude about it, as because of that, I never learned to have my own back and stand up for myself. Instead I constantly apologise, even when things are not my fault, and I would never want that for my children.
