iam kavitha.aim in 8th week of pregnancy,and on my 45th day of pregnancy i travelled from indua to US.Iam away from my parents now,i jus want toknow wether this flight travel affects the foetus,we tuk a scan ,the day b4 our journey,eveything ws normal,pls do reply,will it affect the foetus inside,and wat are all the precautions i need to take,as iam Asha replied. I too travelled in my 8th week of preganacy and I travelled again when I was 13 weeks preg and apart from nausea and vomitting I was fine if u are nervous visit WHO website where the world health organisation has artiicles related to preg and travel,I intend to fly to India in my 8th month of preg for delivery and I have not read anywhere that its dangerous in fact u can even travel with a newborn baby thats 7 days old!!Apart from the fact that u could deliver at high altitudes tdue to pressure diff there is no risk,hence airlines dont allow u to fly after 36 weeks,and no travel if u have complications or multiple births.Hope this helps..
