Hi,

I am having a strange problem I need help from you all..

I was breastfeeding my 6 month old daughter from her birth and there was no problem at all since I was having enough milk flow.

A month back since I need to join my husband in Kuwait I decided during the travel Its convenient to bottle-feed the baby and I did. After that whenever I nurse she use to refuse to latch on. Without option I brought a breast pump and now...i pump the milk and bottle-feed her and she drinks with a great smile without any problem. Now because of this my milk flow also gone down and I am actually worried what to do ??? How can I put my baby back to take my breast ?? Pls suggest

Try putting rubbernipple you use in bottle on your nipple and before approaching your baby gently squeez some breast milk in it and hold it with your nipple. This way the child will happly suck the nipple thinking its bottle after the filled milk empties from the nipple due to sucking action your baby with get your milk through nipple later after practicig this for about two or three days remove the rubbernipple and you can nurse the child directly.

Once baby starts sucking through rubber nipple your milk flow will also increase.Add more milk to your food this will promote milk.Garlic also helps in promotion of mother's milk
