Please help me. I had a good news to all of you that I did get pregnant thru IVF. Well just today I got to know from my Dr. and saw on ultrasound that I am carrying triplets. While it was a wonderful experience to see the babies in the sacs, it was highly emotional experience on wondering if this is the right thing to happen and if I can carry it out all the way through. The dr. says he would consider it a high risk pregnancy and may even expect early premature delivery. Emotionally I was happy for one and two as well, but triplets am really worried about. There are several things am worried about. Firstly we see people struggling to manage the first baby just one baby and how can we manage 3 at one time? Secondly, by managing multiples we may not be able to do complete justice to either of them and not able to show attention to either of them. Another concern is healthwise as it could result to so many complications. Last but not the least, my idea was to keep the fact that we went through IVF not open to the friends here and parents. At the most I was ready only to say that we used some tablets or so. This way I am worried that we would be under social pressure.

Also having triplets might complicate a lot of things as said by my dr. And we are hearing news that people who carried triplets have danger of loosing one or more either in the womb or due to premature delivery. All these factors are scaring us a lot. One of my husbands went through the same and they did a 'selective termination' of one of the babies. Whenver I think of it, I feel it is a emotional thing. How can one who has been longing to have babies decide to forego one. At the same time, thinking of all the above factors as well as the danger of having triplets to all the babies the selective termination seems as option. At this time I am not able to decide anything and am really worried on how things would proceed. Please read this and advice me based on experiences you have heard outside.

as what everyone has been telling , i think u should not stress yourself with thinking too much , take care , go to doc visits regularly .... in today's technology advancement , i think we are pretty wel equipped to handle all these things ..

i know it might be difficult to handle three kids and it might mena adrastic change in your lifestyle .... i think it would be worth the pain .. :)

God heard ur prayers and decided to bless u with three...he knws what hes doing and he will u through all this smoothly...so just hang in there and hope for the best.

Take a lot of care and stop worrying abt wht will happen later...enjoy the moment....step by step and then u see in no time u will hve three wonderful children with u.

Bang the whole world!! As said by others, dont ever bother abt. anyone. People in ur life will come and go. You have ur husband by ur side, thts enuf.

DOnt worry, ur babies will do u proud. N u will do them and all of us proud by being one GR8 mother.

All the best. Listen to your doctor and take ur medicines et al properly. Take ur rest etc.

Just relax and take it easy. God has blessed you in abundance and he will help you thru it also.Here, in the Scandinavian countries where we live, triplets are not uncommon a sight and women who use fertility drugs or go for insemination also end up with triplets. I have seen women with triplets here and all the babies look so happy and healthy.So be positive and take it easy. As for the society don't worry..People will talk.don't worry abt all that.
As Archie says where had they been when you were sad and lonely..
Just keep cool and visualize yourself as a nice happy family...

Just relax, God has given u a great gift that we all here on this board are waiting for. Dont think negative things. God has given you this bundle of joy as he is certain that u and ur husband can bring up 3 wonderful kids. Dont worry abt anything. Take care of ur health and take advice of ur doc. Dont worry abt the risks, all our life we are living on 'hope' so let it go on for 9 months. God will give u the strength to take care of all the three babies and i am sure u will do complete justice to all three. God has chosen you.
Personally I feel it is not really necessary to disclose the fact that u went thru IVF. U and ur husband know that it took a great deal to go thru all this. Rainbow the only advise to you would be chill down and don't ruin your IVF success by emotional thing. You been there when you strive for kid and don't get success, did not you get tensed each luteal phase. Wasn't this reason to choose IVF.

triplet is not that uncommon. People with clomid ends up multiple pregnancies, so you still have chance of staying with drug as a choice to get pregnant. I don't however believe in lies you want to make. Why should you care for the world when you have your own baby from your husband. Who are these people you are afraid of and were they there to provide shoulder when you needed to cry or even today.

there are some risks with multiple pregnancies and most likely they will be preterm but don't worry. YOu will do great. All you do is take as much bed rest you could and keep well hydrated.

will you take care of three and justify love in three children is totally different issue and undobtedly you will do all fair after child birth.

I would hate to hear you emotionally ruining stuff. Yes, some emotional stuff is expected in pregnancy and is hormonal, which is a good side suggesting things are alright in womb.

Think this way knowing there could be problem should make you less stressed and you know what to expect and what can happen in worse case.

Loosing baby is always a possibility for singlet or multiples. There are cases who miscarry, who experience fetal demise, still birth.

Think rationally and rest well....
Avoid eating outside.
