It has been stated that it takes 10,000 hours to learn anything with proficiency. That is for an adult who has experience and training. Now lets put a tabula rasa to a task and how much direction do you think it will take? A LOT! They have to learn a ton of concepts to be able to do anything. On top of that their motor skills are CRAP! Let?s face it, they have no kinestesia. That is body learning, doing things without thinking about them. Be patient, they haven?t a clue about much of anything, you are there to give them the knowledge and confidence to do so.
