Developmental Concerns:trichotillomania

Hi,
My daughter, 5 yr seems to be pulling her eyelashes and brows out. I noticed this when I saw a patch of hair missing from her eye lashes. Both me and my husband warned her about this, took all the approaches to scare her and make her understand not to do it, asked her why she was doing it, last time it was even swollen and sore on the brow after doing it while otherwise her pain tolerance is quite low except when she is doing this behavior. I am writing to get some direction in treating this as I read about this after I realised her third attempt to pull out the hair on her forehead. Talking is definitely not helping out. she is otherwise a well disciplined less fussy well behaved child. Please advice on how to take this forward and if required, which pediatric specialist to seek advice in Blore for trichotillomania. Thank you for all your support.

Please take her to child psychologist. She must be facing some stress or tension.

kids fitness through play and games
since i have been training young kids for motor skills and fun fitness for a while i see that kids develop most of their sports movements then and as early as 4 years. parents need to be aware that forcing kids into sports at a very early age will not get them far, as they end up losing interest quickly. ... - Sunny Singh [View Message]
