i need yr advise..again the doctors confused me .

i am diagnosed with PCO and PCOS last week and she prescribed me clomid which i have to start from december. it will help me to become pregnant but it may also cause misscarriage !

i was so worried and i went for another gyno for suggestion..she then asked me to take contraceptive pills for 3 months and then stop it suddenly. she told me the c/pills will adjust my hormone level and it will be easier to become pregnant after 3mnths.

wht shd i do now ? pls tell me...

hi dear,

wat sunshine said ws right tht clomid is given to improve ur ovulation.

As regards contraceptive pills, even my doc had advised me to b on it. so i was on Duoluton-L for 3 months for regularisation of periods. But nothing gr8 happened after that.

Pls. stay positive. Things will definitely work fine for all of us.

God Almighty is reading all our msgs.

Keep posting here so that we will get to know things tht we didnt know and vice-versa.

then after taking c/pills r u on clomid now ? as i have a regular 31-33d cycle do u think i shld go with clomid ?i must decide wht to do by the end of this month. as next mnth i am going to india and there i have to be very strong to hear all my relatives comments ! as they want me to stay there and follow their docs suggestions.

i dont know god is really with me or not ..but u guys help me a lot,i feel so relieved after i post a message and get a nice reply from u.

Hi Gurria

I cannot imagine why the doctors are trying to confuse you like that...Clomid is prescribed for PCOS to help ovulation. I'm not aware whether it causes miscarriage... However, what I can guess that happens is that there is ovulation and u may even concieve...but due to clomid the ovulation may occur faster (esp. if prescribed with a higher dose i.e. 100 mg instead of 50 mg) and utrenal sac may not grow accordingly or may grow more slowly. This could lead to miscarriage.
I'm not sure about contceptive pills working that way. Archie would be the right person to guide you.
By the way, were you on the pill before ttc?

thnks for yr quick reply. do u think the docs will give other medicines (with clomid) for the uteral sac as well ? i am really confused as my parents have faith on the doc prescribing c/pills ! and they want me to take her suggestions. i never used contraceptives before..pls help..
