Hi

Is there a baby cereal like Cerelac, Farex, etc. available for a baby under 6 months? I have come across cereal only for infants 6 months and above.

My baby is 4 months and I have started him on Dal - Chaval ka pani...and would like to feed him some cereal too?

Can some of you suggest if a product is available in the market?

i want to start Dal-Chaval ka phani ,could you kindly suggest me how to prepared this.

hi z

take 1/2 tsp of rice and 1/2 tsp of moong dal in a bowl, add 2 seeds of ajwain and jeera, few grains of salt and a pinch of hing and add 10 tsp of boiled water to it. cook this mixture till the dal and rice has got fully cooked. start feeding your baby at first with abt 5drops of the water left in the cooked khichri. gradually increase the drops to 20 once u r sure that ur baby is digesting it well.
then instead of 10 tsp water, put only 5 and cook the mixture...and again repeat the drops....once baby is able to digest this concentrated water, u can start mashing the cooked mixture and feeding the baby with 1/4th tsp to begin with and then go on increasing...

it is working well with my baby...hope you are able to do it too.

hi,

you can start with nestum which is like rice kanji.just add water to it.dont add milk.start with one or two scoops and then gradually increase.
