Thanks for your replies ...
glad to know gerber is available here .. But i guess my daughter has now lost interest in gerber ... At home i give her homemade mashed meals (incl ragi kheer)... while going out i prepare something and take it ... only problem is when we go places where i can not heat her food ..
Shirin before you travel make sure u try out some baby food and find out what she likes ... you can then carry with you whatever she likes ... the baby foods i have seen do not need to be warmed but they taste better when warmed ... but for your convinience while travelling get her accustomed to eating baby food at room temperature ... or you can carry baby cereal along with a flask of warm milk/water ... Bannana is a great fruit to carry while travelling ... I havent tried heinz so i do not know whick is better ... chose whatever your baby liikes

Hi All !
I have a 17 month old daughter.I too find Gerber handy while travelling. You know what I do forher daily req't of fruits & veggies..i have collected the empty jars of gerber.I boil stuff like carrots ,greenpeas, etc.in bulk (needed for a week)store them in these jars and FREEZE them.Everyday I just take one jar frm the freezer and heat it in the microwave and feed her. This saves my time and also i am as assured that i feed her fresh veggies everyday! Dont you think its a good idea?

hi,
I buy gerber bottles at MK retail on CMH road - there are 2 MK reatils, you need to go to the one which is next to Fab India. I also know you get gerber and heinz at BABy Shop in Ulsoor.

Subject:  my question on gerber

I am in bangalore too and i find it in Nilgiris Supermarket.Heinz too is available. I just bought the mixed fruits one for my 7 month old daughter. How good is gerber ? Right now I give only ragi and banana to her. I am planning to travel and was thinking of giving some baby food. What else can i give other than gerber ? How about cerelac and first bites ? I find that cerelac and first bites have wheat in them. I am not sure how well she can digest wheat. So plz let me know your opinion on this.
