hello all,

We are expecting our first child in july and really need some help with shopping from all u moms.

When should we be done with shopping ? will it be hard to shop after 7 months because of the weight.

Which car seat is preferred - covertible or infant. I have read that once the baby weighs more than 20 pounds infant car seats will not be useful

Also it will be really helpful if u could pls suggest good brands for car seats and strollers that you have had good experience with.

Try finish all your shoppin needs and arrangements befor you are 35 weeks.as nini has suggested you can buy graco travel system it is really good.you can use the car seat for your next one also.for good health during pregnancy always walk for atleast 30 min a day.so shopping is the best way.just roam around the mall.even there is nothing to puchase. nini replied. hi nikitha

congrats first of all. I delivered my daughter last july. u can start doing shopping from may onwards.

yes, car seat is only for 1st yr. even it says 20 pounds but ur pediatrian will wont say to convert to booster till baby is 1yr old. they need to pass both(20pounds, 1yr).

u can buy car seat and stroller set...will be cheaper. im having Graco passage rider. so far its soo good for us.

whatever stroller u buy, get lite weight stroolers..that will be easy to keep in ur car trunk.

sometimes when the baby is sleeping in the car seat while u r driving u can fit the carseat in the stroller without waking up the baby. thats y i said to but carseat and strooler as set. coz some convertible seats wont fit the stroller. so u check it out and buy.
