my daughter is four months old. as per my doc's advise i started to introduce solids...but to my surprise my daughter developed a rash around the mouth...i had first given her market made cerel...for which she developed a rashes...then i tried homemade rice...which she taked but gets lighter rash...which disappears and comes back....so i have stopped giving her cerels...and continuing only breast feeding....but my worry is whether she is getting enough milk...and what to do about the rash...any home remedies also will be very helpfull...also has any one face the same problem...

Hi Maruya
Sorry Iam very late in giving you this advice but its known as food intolerance, your baby immune system is stil weak but by now you will be able to give evrything and the best stuff is fruits and vegetables
boil n puree it and she should love it
Try different things an dmix them with fruits like.........white pumpkin and pear.Pear and apple go well also.

Hi I think 4 mths is far too early for solids...Please avoid baby food from the market as far as possible it is not the most healthy choice! At 6 months you can introduce solids for the baby but make sure there is just a pich of salt in it! Also when you first introduce your baby to solids you can't give it rice straight away you will have to start with dal water and juices and very very gradually take iot from there to thin khichdi which would have dal and rice and veggies well mashed and then take it from there very gradually.

Remember go easy on the salt ...! : )

your baby is too early into solids; however , if you really want to give solids, try \";sagoo dana\"; .Boil it till it softens, add a bit of \";taal misri\"; to sweeten, serve it when it is of room temperature and do not give her very warm foods .
