Hi all, I am sure manu of you would laugh at this question of mine. But would you kindly tell me what is \";Nachni\"; since so many of you have been giving this your babies. My baby daughter is 9 m 1/2 months old and still is not able to eat solid food. She eats only pasty food. Also I am excited because FINALLY she started crawling since last 2 days. I am really excited.I have put her picture in this site's baby photo contest. PLease check the Feb 2003(Future contests) and you will find Anamika there. She is the MOST precious thing in my and my husband's life.

Hi Anamika

Nachni is very popular - esp in south India. It is called Ragi also. It is a very rich source of calcium and is easy to digest for babies. Depending on where u are located you could probbably ask a good grocery shop to bring you the ragi malt powder. It tastes like 'Suji' and is brown in colour.
