my daughter too now 1 year 6 months, I try giving her boiled egg though she does not eat the yolk only the white of it, and for milk i add bournvita as she likes choc flavor. this happens when she is recovered from fever and sometimes due to teething problem too.
Such times you can give her milkshakes too or fruits. I have even given her milk and toast bcoz of this. She used to have toast dipped in milk but plain milk was rightfully rejected but atleast her stomach would be little full.

hi asmita,
i didn't read this board for a long time, so didn't know that you had posted a msg for me. anyways....after a flu, evn my daughter behaves the same.
what i can suggest is, if she doesn't like milk try yogurt. what does she like, sweet or salty food? whatever her liking , try adding sugar(add a little cumin powder) or salt.if you stay in the US, you can get a dozen flavored yogurts and cheese. a 1yr old shld have atleat 2 cups of milk (16oz) from some source or the other.
about the other meals, keep trying diff flavors. after a illness, a 12 mth old usually likes food which he/she doesn't have to chew much on. have you tried mixing tomatoe soup with baby cereal? it tatse good. boil tomatoe and carrots and then blend them up and strain. add a little butter and salt to taste. then mix with a serving of baby cereal. you can try this with our regular dal too. my daughter used to like this better at such time, then khichdi and stuff like that.
does your baby like potatoes? fries or mashed potatoes with butter. this is excellent sourse of carbohydrates. basically as i told you before , maintain the food pyramid. maximum carbs, then veg &fruits , dairy & meat and then fats and sugar.
have you tried to mix some flavor to her milk?
about the meal recipes, i'll write to you soon . let me know how this works. are you in india or US?
