Question on Janma Ghunti - Eating Problems Discussion Forum - Parents of Preschoolers Message Boards

Hi,
I have question on Janma Ghunti. I live in US and my son is 18 months old. Is it ok to give him Janma Ghunti? He is bit under weight and never feels hungry. Did you give Janma Ghunti to your child? Did it help? Please let me know.

Sogathi is in solid form, pyramid shaped, which contains almost 27 useful ingredients, which is very good for the kid. I don't know whether u can get it in US or not. Give me ur parents address if u want it I will send it across to them. One sogathi. One Sogathi will cost around Rs. 75.00 and I generally asks my ayurvadic doctor to prepare it . if u want let me know I will give u tips also how to use it

U can use some of house items like: Turmeric stic ( to avoid cold and cough), Harde (Laxative), Almond ( for brain), Kachka (Bitter taste_ to avoid worms) Piparimul or Ganthoda (To avoid gastric problem and increase appetite). Rub all these items on soft stone (especially available for these purpose) mix with honey and give to ur son till 5 yrs.

Thanks for all the information you have provided to me. How nice of you to offer to send Sogathi to my parents. But unfortunetly my parents are also here in US. :) Thank you for the offer though.

I will try the homemade stuff that you wrote. Sounds very appealing. Every herb has benifit. One of the person who is traveling from India suggested I give Somva -34. It contains all the ingrdient you mentioed. WOW! I didn't give him Somva yet but after your message I will now.

Is there any other things you do to keep your child in good health? Where in India are you from?

Thank you Margi. So what is Sogathi? Is it liquid? Because my parents suggested that I give "Bala goli" but since that is small pills, I used to soak that pill in gripe water but now that he is old, he doesn't take that any more. Thanks for letting me know about Janam Ghooti.

Do let me know if there is any other home remedy you use for your son. :)
