Hi
This is for my nephew,he is around 7 years old and is very stubborn, never listen to anyone, even sometimes disrespect his parents and put them in embarassing situation,he always make comparision with his 2.5 year sister and complains that his parents love her much and also not giving attention to his studies, and not even scored passing marks in half yearly exams.

and there is one more thing about his natuere,i would like to mention that whenever they go out,he demands for toys, clothes etc.and if his parents dont fulfill his wish,he sit on the road and cry loudly and because of this, they have to fulfill his all demands..
we all love him so much but really want him to grow as a responsible, sincere and good human being.

please suggest what to do?
we really need ur help.

regards
Vijeta

I think the problem is increasing as his parents give in for his tantrums. Next time when he sits on the road ...just leave him and keep walking ... Dont even look back. For your own comfort hide somewhere and watch him . Do this a couple of times .. He will learn he will not get everything he asks for. As he is already 7 yrs , it will be lil difficult but not too late!

My 3 yr old son also used to cry for lil things like every toy he sees or anything else like a clock or cell phone at home. I used to completely ignore him ... and act as if his crying is not bothering me at all ... Within few days I could see the change. Now he has almost stopped tantraums.

One more thing once you feel he is getting better like he stops crying and comes after his parents, ask them not to mention abt it to him anymore. Otherwise we give unwanted importance for their behaviour and as he is 7 yrs old , he might feel insulted also. So best is not to talk abt it once he is fine.
