Hi ,

Sattu Mavu ( that's the south Indian name ) has been recommended by my doctor. She doesn't recommend Cerelac or Nestum . She prefers us to make the cereals at home.

Anyway this is made of ragi,wheat,moong dal,roasted gram dal etc and is to be cooked with water and sugar.

Is this OK for a baby in the 5th month ?

Forgot to mention - when you prepare it for the first time, make it dilute. Make it thicker slowly. If you make it thick at the beginning baby might get constipated.
