I was awaiting a reply from u but was sad to see no reply.
Can u please tell me when the first ultrasound will be done? Will it be extenal o or transvaginal?
Im really concerned because this is IVF.

May be due to my schedule either I missed out your post or forgot to write, please do not think like this anymore.

I donot recommend girls to go for first ultrasound before completion of 7 weeks. Although some OBs are in haste and would want to do it even before 7 weeks. The first ultrasound usually before completion of 10 weeks should be a transvaginal and not abdominal. This ultrasound is intended to estimate real due date, the status of pregnancy, to see fetal pole if it's around the beginning of sixth week and may be tiny embryo in the sixth week. If that's done in 5th week then a gestation sac along with yolk sac and may be fetal pole. If performed at the end of 7th week when embryo is graduated to fetus then one would expect to get heart beats and assure the pregnancy is normal.

No having iVF or natural shouldn't change routine for prenatal check up. Your stage of pre-conception is over and your prenatal care should be like any other pregnancy conceived by routine conception.

An internal examination in the 5th or 6th week would involve cervix examination to confirm the mucous plug and color change.
