hi
can anyone tell me whether i can feed egg to my 12month old daughter. if yes which part, white or yolk. i heard white gives allergy. and in what way of preparation should i feed. plesae suggest.

Hi Siri,

Doctors in US usually say that you can feed the yolk for a child younger than 12 months and start white once he/she becomes 12 months.

I had started yolk before my son turned one. I used to boil an egg. Once the yolk was well cooked but still soft, I mixed it with his rice-dhal. He enjoyed it.
To be on the safe side, I started white only after he turned 18 months. I made very soft scrambled egg and later omelette.
