hi everybody,
i m working mother of 2 children. my elder one is aged 3.5. he has just started his school i.e. Jr.KG. last year he was going to nursery.
but still he is not able to write or say A to Z. if i sit with him n try to make him write. he will just write A and B. but in my view at this age, he shd write A to Z. i hv seen kids in the nursery how they r writing A to Z. i m very much worried about my kid. but everybody says that he is too small, he will pick up. can anybody advise me what shd i do. i will be highly obliged.

thanks.

Hi,
I have talked to so many specialists before admitting my kid to montessori, it is only at their 1 st standard, (5-6) years that a kid can hold on to the pencil properly and wirte! please hold on never ever compel ur kid to write because other kids are writing. Each kid has its own development clock. kindly understand this. you can istead buy him small toys which needs the finger coordination to lift them, this will help his figer co-ordination to develop better.
One thing I would request is talk to a montessorian or a pediatritian to understand when ur kids tender fingers will write comfortably.

Jayshree,

Kids are tender and soft... Please dont force him to write... They will be able to hold and write only after 4. 4 1/2 yrs

Let him take his own time. Don force...they will have to read and write for 20 long years.

thanks vidya for ur advice, but we mothers r always comparing our kids with other kids, which we shd not do. i dont expect that my child shd be very very intelligent but in this competitive generation atleast i expect my child shd be atleast average. for this reason i m very much scared for his not picking up in studies.
