Last week end I went for my regular check up I am in my 23.7 week. The Doctor was not able to find out the heart beat for the first time and even second time she was not able to figure out. I was really got tensed and after few minutes she was able to find out the heart beat.

Can you please tell me why she was not able to find out the heart beat in first time itself?

She asked me to see her after 3 weeks. Generally I heard that after three months the doctor will ask to see her once in a month right. Is every thing ok with my babe.

Please advice me Archie.

I have some back questions to you. Have you felt your baby moving before? If you say yes then do you feel baby movments now, say today and yesterday?
if you answer yes then forget about what happened in clinig.

If your answer is no to very first question then here is what my feeling is.
When Dr. was trying to look for heartbeat it was difficult to track due to active baby, moving all around, remember there is a plenty of space in your uterus for baby to move. Also if the baby is facing back to your tummy in combination with movements then your experience is expected.
I been there but was not worried as I knew if she can't find beats I will request for quick ultrasound in her office.

It happens sometime in second trimester and even at the beginning of third trimester. The point is you found heart beat and nothing should be worrysome.

Some drs. want you to visit once a 3 weeks although they typically start 3 weeks visit after 28th week, I think yours will fall in 28th week if called after 4 weeks and that's why she must have asked to visit a week earlier or she is having some other plan in next week for herself.
