Needed some info. my husband and I have been ttc for over a year now but no luck yet. My cycles are 26 days. I consulted a gynec last week. The doc has asked me to come on 21st day of my cycle to have a blood test for checking progesteron levels. I feel as my cycles are short, 21st may be a little late... Is this correct?
Secondly, my mother had block in her fallopian tube. Are tehre chances of me too having the same condition?

Hi although I do agree with archie about the progesterone part I recommend that your intercourse days should be @days prior to expected ovulation and 2 days after-so 11,12,13,14,15.Yes your cycles are short.How was your day 2 hormones and thyroid.Well if you have had regular unprotected intercourse for over a year and you are nearing 30 it's time to wake up.Although Fallopian tube blockage is not hereditary unless there is an uterine anomaly ,if you dont conceive within 6 months of trying with a gyno's advice.Get your hubby's count and your tubes checked,simple. archie replied. With the regular cycles of 26 days start intercourse from CD 9 until CD13 and no more intercourse. Also stay refrained from intercourse before CD9 ask hubby not to masturbate in case he would before intercourse.

No, the 21 day is not late to measure progesterone. She is not trying to know about ovulation rather trying to see if your progesterone levels are not sufficient to support pregnancy in case you are ovulating and not able to implant or identify pregnancy. Go ahead and get progesterone levels measured on CD21 also follow my advise on intercourse days.

I don't think you should think of fallopian tube blockage, chances are that it's not necessarily a genetic factor and you may or may not have that and you should not stress on that part while ttc.
