Hi,
I guess a few of you must be wondering where this one has vanished to. Well, things just got caught up at work. however, there's something i want to share with you all, and need some advice on.
I've finally been to visit the ob/gyn, to check if everything is normal with me, since i haven't concieved in the last 6-7 months (though i do know most people would tell me i simply fretted). I even hoped to hear the doctor say that. But she didn't. She told me that I have got poly-cystic ovaries. I didn't believe her and got a second opinion. Turns out its true after all. Thanks to my family history of diabeties, I have a slightly higher level of insulin which in turn is causing this condition. I have started the medication. But as per the doc, i also need to shed a few kilos.
I need some good tips for a diet. I am a vegetarian. Also, I want to know are there any particulaar foods (vegetarian) that can help to increase the sperm count. The first doctor even asked my hubby to go for a semen analysis, and his count is low.
Thank you friends. Will await your replies.
Hey whynot, nice to see you back. Is everything ok with you?

latha replied. It's great to have you back. I am very sorry to hear about what you are going thru now. But, I am glad that you found that out when you are into only 6 months of trying.
I know that trans-Resveratrol, a Natural Antioxidant from grapes, nncreases sperm count.
- Also, fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, and seeds are good for sperm count and motility.
- Elimination of processed and refined foods (e.g., white flour), junk food, sugars, alcohol, and caffeine.
- Also, have him avoid saturated fats and hydrogenated oils (e.g., margarine); use olive oil.
- Pumpkin seeds are naturally high in zinc and essential fatty acids which are vital to healthy functioning of the male reproductive system. Eat to cup a day of pumpkin seeds to help maintain a healthy reproductive system.
If you want more information please check online (I can't post any url in this site otherwise, I would).
One of my friends wanted to lose weight, she just started a walking programme. She started walking 20 mins then gradully increased it. She ate 6 times a day!(but, very small meals- so she wasn't starving while trying to reduce her weight, she had lots of fruits and veggies). She lost about 15 pds in three months, more importantly she kept the weight off for past 8 months.
I wish you the very best and Good luck!
lots of love and prayers,
latha.

We have been married for the last 12 years. We are trying for a baby but unfortunately every time it's disappointing. I had 3 abortion, 2 Ectopic pregnancy, 1 IUI failure and 2 IVF failures. I had septum in the uterus and got removed. Since I had a history of ectopic pregnancies, both my fallopian tubes are tied. Due to the poor ovarian reserve ... - Malini [View Message]
