Hello Archie,

I am planning for my next IVF in May 2005 and my Doc has told me to take some steroids dexamethasone OR prednisone ( 1mg once a day ) during the treatment cycle. and if I have +ve pregnancy test then continue till first trimister.
But I am afraid to take steroids as it has some bad effect on fetus.

Archie, could you please comment on this.

Dear Kiran,
I don't think suggested steroid is harmful to you or pregnancy.

Depending on progress you will be suggested to stop in case this results in positive IVF.

Rememebr to keep stress free to hit the goal while IVF.

There are many steroids those affect but not all steroids will affect pregnancy:)
