Me and My Wife, married for five years, have been trying unsuccessfully for the last four years. We have gone through all the possible tests under the sun, 6 clomiphene cycles, 8 odd IUIs, and 2 Sad and painful IVFs. Ours is an unexplained infertility as both of us tend to get good results of all the investigations. Also all the cycles seem to be okay and running fine. The only anti climax is that the ' elusive pregnancy ' doesn't happen. Can't console my depressed wife.
Feeling Helpless. Don't Know what to do as we still wait for the result of an ICSI cycle done in Last Week of MARCH 2005. RohiniW replied. I can imagine what you guys are going through. It is one of the toughest times in life. I do not know if you had the chance to go through the note to Vsh on this board where I mentioned about Acupuncture and how it may be helpful. The 2 week waiting period is really the worst part I know how restless you feel. If you have just had a transfer it is still not late to start an acupunture therapy. I know you may have to start researching now and it will cost you also. but these therapies help to sustain the embryo in the womb and thats what my acupuncturist explained to me. I visited 2 days a week regulary form the beginning of IVF till the day of 1st pregnancy test. Now I visit once a week. It may really help your wife to release all her stress and feel calm which is important.
As already mentioned by Suman, you may have to really look for a genuine therapist for the alternative medicines. They also have a board certification etc. some research on the net may help.
We have positive pregnancy after IVF cycle but we are still keeping our fingers crossed till we confirm after listening to the baby's heartbeat and of course carrying to full term. Still I gathered some courage and felt like posting here.
I am sure you will be hearing good news for this cycle you are waiting for.I will pray for you both.

we are also in same situation like u guys.we been suffering for 8 yrs.i also went throw 8 iui's, 2 ivfs,2 laproscopys,1 histroscopy...list is endless.i think these western treatment are not that advanced to find the root of problem, my thinking we should go for ancent medical treatments in ayurveda, homeopathy, accupuncture,this may find old fashioned or silly , but it might work also.but selecting right ayurvedic doc is main thing we need to consider.i am trying rightnow some alternative treatments.i will let u know if it works for me.goodluck.
