My situation is not a very peculiar one .. m sure most of you must have come across this kinda situation.

I am a mom f 1 yr old and Working in a reputed firm. The reason why I could continue with the job was that my office is close to home .. though I am staying in a metropolitan I never had to waste my time commuting to and from office. My baby stays with my babysitter the whole day but I visit home in b/w to see my baby almost everyday as and when my work allows me with a free time. I also manage to reach home well within time and make it a point to take my li’l one for a stroll everyday in the evening no matter how tired I am.

Now the problem is that my friends and acquaintances in the building keep commenting me on me continuing my jon leaving my kid with the maid. Though they do it in quite a HR manner. They will say “You are quite strong and bold yaar .. you really have big heart to leave your small kid with the bai”. Some people say “ You must be very strong emotionally ..you leave your infant with the kid”. No one will understand my problem.. I am working because I like to work. It gives me peace . Though it was very difficult for me to take a decision of continuing with the job after having a baby. Hey also backbite about me in my absence for the same reason.


A new problem I have realized is that some of the people in the society I stay have started thinking that I am working in some Call centre as I come soon from office .. take walks with kid and quite bubbly. They must have thought that a person working in a good firm can never afford to come from office before 7:30-8pm. I manage somehow because firstly I stay close to office and secondly I never waste my time in office gossiping with my colleagues. I never take coffee breaks also.

I am fed with different reaction people give ….. I have just started mingling up witth ppl … Earlier when I never used to speak with people they said she has attitude.Whats shall I do ladies. ???? How do I stop talking about me ?
frn replied. first of all stop caring bout such people.this is your life n ur baby.nobody has a right to say anything that 2 wen you r doin nothing wrong.its true that other people are just jealous of you so why not make them more jealous....enjoy your life. 12 replied. why do u care about other people ? u very well know u r being a good mom, and being happy coz u r working,, so just hear what they say from one ear and leave it from other... u r in a much better position than them, u r there for u child, and also secure urs as well as ur child' s future.... just tell them ' THank you' when they try to tell u that u r emotionally strong bla bla.... if they dont belive in ur position and say do they allow u to leave so early , ask them do they want to see ur ID, letter from office,,, i feel they r jealous that u r in such a good position and also have a good family so just enjoy ur life..
