Hi Swati:

This is regarding Leptaden. I have a friend who has family in Bangalore. I requested them to get it for me. In case they have a problem finding a store where they can get it from, could you please give the name of some medical store where it is available?

Once again, thank you very much for your suggestion.

Jaya

Hi Again,

I'm glad that you are so prsistent and haven't given up. You are so right when you say that every mom has the ability to produce enuff milk to solely nourish the baby......well I can only pry for you that Leptaden works like it did for me......! I was only concerned that too much time should not have elapsed and the milk withdrwan. But you keep e posted as soon as you are sucessful!

All the best in the mean while!

Love
Swati....I'll pray for you!

Swati:

I've been unlucky this time too. My friend informed me that her cousin who was supposed to bring the Leptaden from B'lore says that he could not find it in his house (in London; my friend is also in London). He said that he would search for it again. But I do not think it will be found. I've lost all my hope. My experiences remind me of some movie where bad luck follows a person everywhere.

It was my greatest desire to breastfeed my baby. I even bought suitable clothes when I was pregnant. I never imagined that I would have this problem. I now think of the numerous beggar women back in India who sit in front of the bus stops / railway stations, breastfeeding their babies. They don't even have proper nutrition / rest. Still they are able to do it. I do not understand why God is denying me that pleasure which everyone has.

Thank you,

Jaya

Swati:

Thank you very much for your mail.

As I said, I would like to try this too before giving up. I am generally an optimist, but all these obstacles sort of drain me....I too hope that the medicine finally works, after all these efforts.

Thank you once again for praying for me.

With love,

Jaya

Dear Jaya,

Leptaden is available in any chemist store anywhere in Bangalore. Ask your friends to try out any chemist! It says its an ayauvedic formulation and so there is no need for a prescription either! Its available in sizes of 50 tabs and 100 tabs - I think they should pick up the 100 tabs one for you!

Tell me if you still have problems locating the same!

Subject:  Lactation

Hi Swati:

Thank you for your message.

About lactation, I have been unlucky so far. My body has produced colostrum, and it stopped just there. I have not been able to generate milk. I do eat a healthy diet, but nothing that I do helps. Putting baby at the breast does not work since nothing comes out of it.
As I said earlier, I do not have any medical problems and in my family, everyone has had plenty of breast milk. So, no one in my family has had this problem. I consulted many lactation consultants - they were not able to help me. They only had suggestions for sore/cracked nipples, engorgement, etc - for those who have milk; not for someone like me. I started pumping from the 2nd day of my son's birth, but other than colostrum, my body has not produced anything else. I stopped pumping at six weeks. Nowadays, I try hand stimulation when I am at home.
I asked my Ob/Gyn's office for help long back. My doctor checked me and said that everything is fine. She asked me not to worry and to 'just give up and feed him formula'. She checked my thyroid levels and said that everything is okay.
There are many people who think that breast feeding / pumping is a nuisance. But, I am not one among them. So, I wanted to try everything possible before giving up.
I surfed the web looking for information, and every breastfeeding web site says that 'A mother's body is capable of producing enough milk to nourish her baby'. This made me more tense. My breasts did increase in size during pregnancy, and also after delivery. So, I do not think it is my breast. It was then that I posted in this site, and got your response. I then felt like giving Leptaden a try.
The ability to breast feed is one that God gives only to the mother - it is very hard for me to accept that I do not have this ability. So, I thought of trying this last method before giving up.

I'll let you know when I get it and if it helps. In any case, I'll keep you posted.

Thank you once again,

Jaya

Jaya, I understand your concerns but I was the most paranoid mother if there was any on this earth! I did a full research on the medicine and satisfid myself about side effects and all and then took the medication -NO it has no side effects!

By the way aren't you just a little too late with this whole thing ..... I mean are you lactating enuff ? If you have stopped lactating then I doubt this or anything is going to help you ! This is just for info. If you have suceeded with the garlic and greens and all then you are OK and must definitely give Leptaden a try.

Don't worry this is an ayurvedic formulation and ayuvedic drugs don't have side effects! All the best and let me know how you fared!

Thank you for your reply. My friend has informed me that her family has managed to get one bottle of the medicine and that they'll send it to me.

I'll let you know when I get it. Just a question - does it have any side effect/ reaction?

Thank you,

Jaya
