Thanks for your wishes. Here's my birth story below.

My due date according to the doc was 27th Jan, but she wanted me to go for a scan on hte 24th just to check how things were. And according to the doc, the scan showed that the baby was big for my height (I'm 1/2 inch shy of 5 feet) and also the fluid was less, so she suggested inducing labour. I was admitted in the hospital on 22nd evening and the first level of induction was the insertion of the cervical gel. That didn't work and was followed by the pitocin drips to induce contractions. Three trials of the gel and drips didn't work, I didn't get any pains and neither did the baby's head drop, so on the 24th morning, the doc suggested a c-section. I hadn't mentally prepared myself for a c-section and quite sulkily agreed to one. The operation went of fine and on the 24th jan at 6:52 am IST, my little bouncing boy was born. It was so thrilling to see him for the first time. He seems to have both (my hubby's and my) features and weighed 3 kgs at birth with a height of 50 cm. Has been growing steadily since then.
