Hi girls
Hope u all r enjoying ur lil ones..
I am from the Feb '04 dd club.My dd is in 5 days.Doc. says my pelvis size is sligtly on the smaller side and that baby size is relatively large. So at this point a vaginal delivery although not completely ruled out may be a little challenging is what he feels.I want to feel at least a lil prepared to what it feels like after a c-sec. Can someone please guide me..How is the recovery and how long it takes? Is it hard to breast-feed after a c-sec?In general what all can i expect ?Thks in advance...

hi smiley,

im from the dec board. i gave birth to my son yash thru c section on dec16th. my case was also similar to yours. so thght should share my feeling with u. yash was a big baby arnd 3.75 kilos. and im quite short. doc said even my pelvis was on the smaller side. i was induced and was in labour for abt 2 hrs. wud have had to wait till late evening trying for a normal labour and then too docs werent confident in ruling out an emergency c section in the last minute. so i decided not to risk and gave my go ahead for a c section. i had initial problems with breast feeding but not bcoz of my c section. yash wudnt latch on. some 16 hrs after surgery iw as made to walk to the bathroom. and 4 hrs later i came walking down the stairs. i had a bikini cut done so i dint ahve pain while sitting. u will deftly feel some discomfort coz whatever said and done its a surgery. u will be given painkillers intravenously initially and then in the form of tablets. and u are free to walk around.u will be allowed to ahve normal baths even without covering the incision area from day 3 onwards.some 15 days after delivery i started taking oil baths just like i would have if i had a noirmal delivery. and its if u dont have any other complication in arnd a month post delivery u will feel absolutely ok. just make sure u keep the incision area as clean as possible. coz an unclean area will give rise to secondary infection.

all the best n hope to hear some good news from u soon,

radhi

Kidney
Hello:
My 20 week ultrasound also showed an enlarged kidney. The good news is that since it is only one side, chances are that he will \";grow out of it\"; and if there's a problem it will resolve itself. I would suggest going back in 4 weeks from when you had the first to see if the kidney is of normal proportion. I went back for the next one, and the ultrasoun... - CNoel [View Message]

just an advice
Hey Kavita,

I'd say you get the ultrasound done so you will be able to see what is going on. Vaginal ultrasound is a good idea too.

Take care,
