Post delivery period, the body is at recovery phase. The body is weak and all the organs are affected due to rigours of pregnancy. Exercises that involve vigorous movements or jerky movements must be avoided. anything that may cause exhaustion should be avoided.

Aerobics, jogging, skipping rope, jumping and similar exercises which involve movements should be avoided at any cost. similarly running and cycling should not be in the post delivery period. these should be resumed months after the recovery.

Before starting any exercise regimen, women in the post delivery period should feel comfortable with their body. They should wait ideally for upto 6 weeks before doping exercises. this is the minimum time required for body to heal. this time may vary from case to case.
