hi,
my 1 yr old baby is having continuous vomitings(8-10)times a day and 2 loose motions since 2 days, it seems that she has got the stomach infection and i gave her a tiny piece of non-veg which created the problem...she had viral fever also before this...
she has never been ill after her birth and been a very healthy baby, but since few days she is having various problems, initially she had viral fever and now this stomach infection...
what all home remedies should i do...
she is refusing to take water even...v r giving her ORS and consulted a doc too, but i cant bear her uneasyness due to nausea and vomitings...
plz plz help...

Ok keep giving her ORS only for 8-10 hrs, every hr (just little not fulll stomach) as she is vomiting quite many times. This will prevent dehydration.

Do not feed her anything until the vomiting stops and she digests ORS without throwing it.

Then you can give her Breastmilk or formula , but just half stomach. Rememeber Just stop even if u feel she want more. This way she will digest easily and not throw. Its important to stop the vomiting.
Next 8 hrs just keep feeding every two hr only BM/formaul. See how she does and then go ahead.

RE:Baby cries while passing urine - Hetal pls advice
At the same time the child is feeling some pain So try to understand and consult a doctor.... - sharmasanvi [View Message]
RE:bowel movement in 2 week old infant
Some babies go through phases when they either can't use the muscles to empty their bowels or they "forget how to". In that case, it's safest keep using the suppositories daily to make them do a dirty in 5 minutes.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:where can I get laxative?
You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.
(I have a daughter with long-term bowel issues: she can't "do" without them!)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.... - Aditi [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Hi there please be calm and relax as it happens sometime the child takes little time to start walking or crawling also but in your case the child should have started crawling if not walking.... - Anita [View Message]
