hi archie...
yday at the doc chk up he noticed that the kids heart beat was aroudn 60 .tat was a big cause of concern. i was under medical observation to chk th kids heart beats whole of last nite.all was normal. nst report was also normal. but uterine contractions are severe but without pain.is this brax hicks..if yes why has my cervix dilated 1 cm already.i m in 37-38 week..due april 2nd week.does this mean im into labor already? kindly advice..

Sorry for the delay.
I hope you are doing fine and may be you are delivered your little one.
Yes they are braxton hicks contraction and they help your cervix effacement and dialtion ahead of labor. I am not surprised that your cervix is 1 cm dilated.

However would suggest to keep track of baby movements and if anything concerns to you give a call to your OB and get hearbeat checked and NST done.

Also I make a strong recommendation on induction as it's already a full term baby.

hi archie..
tks a lot for ur reply..yes i hv delivered on 5th of aprl..i was induced into labor..just had 2 hrs of labor and 30 mins of deliv ..was pretty ok. now post deliv blues have started. kid doesnt sleep at nite..cries always..i already seem to be fed up and irritated with the whole thing, but cant blame him cos he cant even speak!! do gv some tips on hw to cope up with this stress...
