MY THREE YEAR OLD SON IS GOING TO TURN 4 ON SEPTEMBER 13. hE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO READ OR WRITE.

HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM PLEASE HELP ME

Hi,

See dear this problem is mainly because u have not sat with him with some books at his early age.....but its not too late.

first step u can take is sit with him with crayon colours and make pictures like and colour it and keep those worksheets in one file. when he will form some interest with all this.... second step should be take out the worksheets one by one and write the name of the picture like if it is apple write APPLE with different creyons. again keep that sheet in the file after some days show him the same and tell him to count the objects in particular sheet. then write the number for eg. 6 and then the spelling SIX.....this way go on exploring your creativity and child will learn the following things.

1. Keeping things in place (folder/file)
2. reading the same things with different angles (creativity)
3. habit of reading / writing
4. will be more with a mother and will be happy.

it is not uncommon for a child of 4 years that he/she is unable to read and write. please look out for a good play school for him/her as they are now a days are very helpful for the children before thier going to school. At these places children can even learn some sort of manners in the company of other children. so u must try

It is not uncommon for a 4 year old to not be able to read or write. You should not be overly concerned about this, you should be worried that he does not listen to you. To help him grasp phonics and basic reading you could send him to a tutor.
