i have got irregular periods since 5yrs lasting between 45days to 60days,so i was not able to calculate the exact weeks for me.on feb21,2005 we did preg test ,it was positive ,three weeks later i had spotting we consulted our doc,he advised usg ,in it they said the foetus corresponds to 5 -6 weeeks size only ,there is heart activity,no sings of bleeding .
my worry is why is it lagging 2 weeks ,otherwise is there any chances that home preg kit will give positive result before 4weeks ,if so how early.

I don't think there is anything to worry. i had gone thru a similar situation since my periods were also irreqular. When i found out i was pregnant acc to dates i was supposed to be 7 weeks but however the doc said it was only five weeks. He thought i was likely to miscarry. He did not take into account, irreqular periods. Since i was not comfy with a male doc i decided tochange my doc. she did two ultrasounds at a gap of two weeks to check growth. Growth was normal and i had just concieved late. I think it shud be the same in your case. Anyways you should double check coz i am not a doc and this is a delicate matter. Yes kits do reveal pregnancy before a month. However realiablity needs to be checked.
