If you would still like to give solids at month 4, the safest bet would be rice cereal. In India I used Nestum (plaim rice cereal without sugar) which I mixed with breast or formula milk. If you are in the US, you could use Gerber Single Grain Rice Cereal mixed with breast or formula milk.

Rice cereal is considered to be the safest in terms of food allergy. When I started, I mixed 1 teaspoon of cereal with 4 teaspoons of liquid.

as long as you are totally breastfeeding i feel there is no necessary for other foods at this stage atleast.my son's paediatrician adviced not to give any food at that age though he was on formulamilk.i gave cerelac when he entered into his month 5.and babies at this stage cannot digest any food other than milk.i tried daal pani with my son when he was 3 months old but i felt he was unable to digest it so i stopped.if you stay in a very hot place give her a few drops of Barley water daily as it acts as coolant.otherwise soak dried dates and dry grapes for a few hours in water remove seeds and grind it to fine paste. filter it and give the liquid. this is also a great coolant for babies.so on the whole my suggestion for you is not to give any food right now.all the best.
