Although sandya has been a source of inspiration to all on this board, but those like me who fall in the \" sandya\" group are following excercise + diet control as the aid to lose wt (sorry sandya, couldnt find a better word for the group, hope u dont mind it !)

u can choose your way to lose wt but experts worldwide and sandya-group believe that working out and balanced diet is the final key to reducw and maintain ur wt.

u hvae not mentioned if u r in US or India as we can suggest you accordingly how to manage your time. I assume u r in India (as you have mentioned your wt in Kgs and not pounds!)

I am assuming you have read sandya' s and my story on various diet anf fitness related boards on this site.

I m 5.5 and i too went to 75 kgs after my first baby. That time I bhad joined VLCC and had brought my wt to 66 kgs, i ws also watching my diet then. After my second baby (5 yrs later), I was 81 kgs after my delivery. Now I am 78 kgs, it has been some 2+ months i joined the gym.

Most of tips you can get from previous posts, on how to manage time for exercise and how to manage food habits, what to eat. Also read Shruti' s post (she is from ireland), she has posted her diet chart.

I recommend check with your doctor if tou need to take any medical tests. My gym dietician suggested me to take glucose, thyroid and lipid profile tests. Glucose - because my glucose levels were little high during pregnancy. Thyroid - because I had thyroid problem between 2 kids. Lipid - i guess just looking at my wt and age.

There is just 1 lipid count that has come out cv high for me. But the dietician has suggested me a the diet which also includes avoiding foods that can enhance thyroid problem.

So, include atleast 45 mins work out in your daily routine, cut out on oils, fats. Follow the calorie-facts that sandya has given, it has really helped me. My BMR is v low - 1460, so i keep a check on calories i am eating.

I had a habit on munching on things while working (computers). I have switched to low cal food.

Sandya, shruti and friends - another update from my side ...
my BMI has come to 25 from 29.somethng.
Sadly, my body fat has not reduced. The instructer has changed my workout schedule and included more strenghts.
My BMR surprisingly dropped to 1430 :(.

so although i am receiving compliments \" started losing\" , there' s still much i need to work upon.

all the best sakshi. keep us updated.

Hi Patlivated, now you are becoming my inspiration in writing as well as losing wt. I´ am sooooo happy to hear all the goals that you are achieving. Just keep at it. And i couldn´ t have given a better advice to Sakshi who is planning on joining our group. Hey, btw what is VLCC? bounced over my head. I´ am writing this while i´ am munching on some raw spinach. I want to finish this quickly so i can switch over to eating all the good stuff :):):) (fruits and veggies)...anyway, keep writing and keep losing wt :):):)

Sakshi, if you do need further assitance after what Patlivated has written then do let us know and we´ ll all be glad to help you out.
