Feeding:recipes for 7 mon old

hi

I have an(almost ) 7m old son Pranav.I started him on cerelac twice a day and give him fruits and veg.He dosent like moong dal at all.Can anyone suggest other recipes coz he is getting tired of cerelac alone.

you can start with raagi.my son is also 8months old and he also don't like moong dal.i used to powder rice,moong dal and urad dal along with some jeera and then boil that in water ,added some ghee.my baby used to like that.Also u can try with poha.powder poha after frying and boil with water.add some sugar and milk if required.

Hi Priya,

Have you tried moong dhal mixed with rice as in kichadi. Pressure cook both together and served with ghee, a tiny pinch of salt and jeera (for digestion). That might be more acceptable. You can even add carrots/beans to the mix. My son loved the combination with carrot.

I donot know where ur located ,i mean in us or in india.when my baby girl was 7mnths old she never liked moong dal.
now she is 9mnths old,so try this for baby use toor dal boil in water use some salt then give him ,or try rasam (i hope u know how to prepare rasam).
