Name: why not Hi all,
Writing after a long long time.Duz anyone know about Beta 3 Integrin?Its a protein inside the uteres which holds the embryo.I tried 4IUI's,2IVF's and 2ICIS's. No luck.Anyone who's done this test?What results did u get?

what wud be the cost of it.

To tell u im damn afraid to go for ICSI.

sonia...ask ur doctor if he/she can do a ultrasound guided ICSI. This means that teh doc can see on a small monitor the inside of ur uterus and place the embryo properly. Hope it works for u. It didnt for me.

Dear Sonia

Thank u for wishing me luck. i have no idea if the tests can be done in India.I guess they shud' know about it.I live in the US.I know what bad luck is...my insurance wont be covering any of my expense.I paid$270.00 for the biopsy.And the specimen will be sent to another state for results and will be sent back to my doc.Those guys who see the specimen will charge me another$200-$300 bucks.
Hope u dont have to go thru' all this frustration.

I will be going for ICSI soon.Can u please give me some more information on what is this beta3 integrin exactly?
R any tests tests available to check the same. Im frm india. r doctors in india aware of this bets 3 integrin so that i can discuss it with him.

I will be greatly obliged if u help me with whatever knowledgr u have.

dear sonia.i 4got to tell u one thing. this biopsy takes 5 minutes and they take a tissue from ur uterus.it hurst but....we have no chocie but to go thru' pain. wish u the best of luck.

Its a glue-like protein necessary for embryo implantation in the uteres.If the Beta3Integrin is missing,the fertilized egg may not attach properly to the uternie wall. I did the test(uterine biopsy)last week and the results will be know after 2 wks.My doc said that my embryos looked perfect so why am i not getting pregnant?i hope i have the integrin.
