Hi,
My baby's 5 months old.we are planning to go to India. here i'm giving her Enfamil formula. i want to know where i get this product . or what same formula available at US as well as in India so that i may try her before going to India. what solid foods i may give her once i go to India. is it ok that i take formula's from here ? but i feel difficulty how much tins i may get it from her. if u please send me the list of formula's at TamilNadu .ok .please mail me early as possible. thank u.

hi krithika,

You get Enfamil as well as Similac Advance in all big pharmacies. only thing is u have to ask them personally. Enfamil - package color will be as the one in US. but similac, u get the one packed for gulf countries. you can ask ur nearby medical store people and they will get u the formula....

i just returned from madras and went to departmental stores there.as far as i could see,u dont get enfamil but u get lactogen.but i know someone who would ask her pharmacist to stock up isomil(the soy formnula in the us)for her daughter,so u could ask a pharmacist to do the same for u'r child.i was breast feeding so i didnt face this problem but i have strted cerelac and am not sure what to switch to in US.best of luck!

I'm really sorry I do not have any idea about the similiar formula available both in India and U.S.
you may want to ask your parents or relatives India to give the brand name of al the formula available in India and then you can compare it with U.S. Also, you may want to check the availablity of Enfamil in India. I'm sure Similac or Enfamil should be available in India.
Its not a problem if you carry formula for 4 months. Many of my friends who stayed in India for three months easily carried the formula from U.S.

I would recomend you to carry formula from here..How long are you planning to stay in India? Depending upon your stay, you may want to carry formula from here..If you have to buy Enfamil in India please do check the expiry date before you give it to your baby. Enfamil should be available in spencer plaza..not sure though.

thanx a lot for ur reply. i would like to stay for atleast 4 months. so only i'm worrying about this. isit ok to get formulas from here. becos for that climate there's a possibility of spoilng. otherwise could u tell me what formula's are available in TN aswell as in US? so that i may try for her from here by changing formula's. please mail me.
