Dear GST,
Your message brought smile automatically.
What you experienced is Braxton Hicks Contraction. They will come and go and may be more often here after. Try to change activity while you experience them. For example, if you were seating then take a walk or if you were walking try to rest in bed on your left side.

Sometime they will bother you throughout the day and you will be alarmed as to if this is labor. In event you feel they are bothering for hours then try to time them up. If each contraction is regular and you get about 6 contractions in an hour spaced by 10 minutes apart then likely you are in labor, still no need to rush. Wait and watch if in next hours the contractions get stronger and more frequent. If this is labor then contraction will come closer, initially 15 minutes apart, then 10 minutes apart, 7 minutes apart, 5 minutes apart and may be 2-3 minutes apart. When contractions will be spaced 5 minutes apart likely that you will find them more painful. If you want this is time you can call your Dr. or wait till they become 2-3 minutes apart. Remember real labor contractions are painful and they can stay as long as 1-2 minutes before the next contraction:)

Hope this will help you dealing with what's happening.

Tell your body just another few weeks and you will hold your little one in your arms:)

Archie

Thanx for your advice.

Actually, my gynec is too busy and has an assistant to answer queries on phone. The assistant has just one solution to any problem that i ask - whether a simple question like nausea or the problem that i asked you - just come to the labour ward of the hospital that i am registered into.
You are a blessing. Thanx again.

RE:adoption in a family
hey ananya this is really a very sensitive case and you should think about it before hand as in what the child would think in future as he or she grows up. Or else you will have to do counselling of the child at the right time.... - ridhi [View Message]
