i am a workoing women with a three years daughter. Presently, i am leaving my daughter with my mother-in-law but she does not take interest in my daughter. Now, for the past one month I have hired a full time maid. My daughter is enjoying her company. But am i worried whether she takes propoer care of her in my absence. As my mom- in-law does not care much about my daughter, my husband and me are planning to our own house and live independently where good facilities are available like good schools, good company etc. In case we take such a decision we may have to leave my daughter a day care. i want to know whether it is a wise decision or not. I suggest leave her at home with maid and MIL ..even though you might still MIL is not taking interest in her .. she will definitely take care of her in ur absence .. afterall its her grand child ! which you cannot guarantee in Creche .. they might show off altogether something else to parents !!

Take care aditi replied. I would suggest to wait for some more time. Let her be 5 yrs so that she will be little more busy with her school and friends.
Daycare should be the last option for small kids. You are lucky to have someone at home.
Continue your maid under supervision of your MIL.
