Pls help...my daughter is 5 months...I started cereals and she was doing good. yday was the first day I started giving gerber-banana and she ate hearly half-bottle.She had 3oz of formula later and slept off. When she woke up after 2 hrs...she didnot feel hungry. After 5 hrs of her prev intake , she took little cereal n 4 oz formula. After 2 hrs..she vomitted and cried a lot.Its first day she behaved so and when I fed her after 3 hrs..she again vomitted. What cld be the reason...pls help..i dont want to repeat my mistake. HELP PLS.

Dont hurry and start solids too early. u can wait till 6 months. for now breast milk and / or formula is sufficient. if u want to start then u can give little rice cereal. but banana is too early to give now. pl dont hurry. pl refer to kellymom or askdrsears web sites. till 6 months just breast milk or formula alone is enough. from 6 months u can start cereals or fruits and vegges. that too very little once a day. then after a month or two u can start twice a day. then thrice a day when she nears her first bday. when u start a new food give very little that too in the morning and wait for any reactions and give the next new food only after a week. i think u made a mistake giving half a bottle. u must increase the qty slowly. hope this helps.
