I have 10yrs daughter. She is not feeling hungry at all. She will not eat properly by birth. But now from last one month not taking food properly. Even milk also she wants to skip and attend school. Breakfast NIL. During lunch half portion of food she will have and bring rest half to home. Dinner also not doing properly. She says after eating 2,3 spoons of food she has a feeling that stomach filled. I will never give her outside food. Always i used to prepare variety food so that she will have atleast minimum quantity of food because by birth i have problem with her food intake. Can anyone suggest how to help her in getting feeling of hungry?? I have tried so many home remidies. Like daily giving banana, Omam mixed with Jeera powder in ghee rice, even i gave her Liv-52 also. Once the yellow colour comes remove from stove and give him quarter glass everyday morning for three days. it will clear any stomache infection and creates appetite. but dont continue more than three days. If he starts eating then whenver u are preparing kichadi u can add ajwain 1/4spoon(once in a week) will help him to keep his stomache in good condition. I think the problem is that he has lost his apetite. So, do not force him to eat anything. Just remain calm and let him have a empty stomach for some time. Then give him something which is liked. Also check if there are any infections.

Hi Pam,

I use to give 200ml milk( half water)before going to sleep. But after then brush his teeth and allow him to sleep. Before half an hour to bed u can give milk and it helps for restful sleep. One of my friends is a dentist. As per her advice i am doing this. I am using a small stainless steel glass. After one year we should not use bottle. Bottle feeding is not good for teeth. Encourage him by offering his favourite liquids in glass. Small accidents are common. within a week he will pick up.

Hi vidya,

why dont u start with chappathi?you can dip chappathis in milk or dhal extract which will help him to chew. bread sticks dipped in honey or tomatoketchup will also help during snacks time.whatever u want to try take it in a small box and try while u are going out or in friend's house. it really works out. all the best.
