Working Mother:Day care vs grandparents

my baby is 9 month old...i joined back when she was 5 month old..initially my parents were there to look after her..and now my in-laws are staying at home...i am planning to put her in day care once she grows till 1.5 yr...or may be sooner...what do u advice..i mean..i don' t want to put her at home because that way entire day she ll keep watching TV as they my in-laws are strict in terms of tidiness of home and with their own routine...(which sometimes disturbs me too) i feel at home they mostly put her on walkers ... i am not sure which would be better ..pls advice

iam due to deliver in 2 weeks time....and so decided on looking out for options...iam really scared as to how iam going to manage after reading abt all these day care centres....

and what is this Vivaa.i didnt get it....... swati replied. If you have started sending your kid then it doesn' t matter..go by your experience.
If everything seems to be fine with your kid then you should not be worried...Vivaa has a good brand name :)

I don' t remember exactly but some parent had written about toddlers care that they are ill-treating by maids, toilets are not cleaned etc. Don' t remember much. swati replied. I agree with you.
Around 4 months back, I had seen some negative post for Vivaa and after 2 days those were not there. Rest of the post were untouched.

What to do but money rules everywhere :)

Bcos at home your kid will get all love and care that he needs most at this age. Atleast your in-laws will pick her up in case she is crying or hungry but in daycare you cannot gurantee of anything.
I had put my 14 months daughter in one well known daycare center of B' lore(charging 5000/ per month) but after few days I realized she is scared of few words like \" Close your eyes\" , \" Don' t do it\" etc.

After this I requested my in-laws to come and stay with me. Now my daughter is dancing all the time :)

In my opinion its a torture on kids to send them away from their home for long time.

don´ t worry

If you have started sending your kid then it doesn' t matter..go by your experience.
If everything seems to be fine with your kid then you should not be worried...Vivaa has a good brand name :)

Well...

Ill-treatment by maids ! You are giving me the scare ! I am concerned about toddler care only !

I have paid the money and all that but it is definitely not worth it if the baby has to go through ill-treatment.

It might be an one-off case but it definitely gives me the scare.

What is in a brand-name ? Every nook and corner has a brand name these days !

It cannot be so that there is nothing negative about Vivaa.

Don´ t you think that by deleting the negative posts, the public are forced to see only the rosy picture?

This is a common forum. And people do have the right to see both the positive and negative sides of a place.

This sounds like monopolizing !

GPs are always better option

Daycare should always be the last option.

what do u think is right age to send kids to day care..as my in laws are based of kolkata...though they can spare 4-5 months with me in mumbai but not for long time....i could ask them to stay for more till she turns up 2 yrs...and then i can put her in day care..what do u suggest?

Swati, could you please let me know which creche you are referring to? It would be a huge help to parents like us who are thinking of the option of day-care/creche.

I am a mother of 4 years old son and I am working woman. I usually left home by 9 in morning and reach by 8 in evening.
I usually get quality time with my son on Sundays/holidays. But then as i reach home by 8 eve, I realy work hard to finish the work and food by 10 or 10:30 to make love with my son coz i love him very much after my husband.
